Georgia Dorrian

Georgia Dorrian, an 18-year-old artist from Long Island, New York, has been dedicated to painting since childhood. She is currently pursuing her studies at the Huntington School of Fine Art and Portledge School. Over the years, Georgia has accumulated a diverse range of professional experience, including an internship with Michelle Holland Interior Design and creative contributions to the Red Thread Atelier. She has also worked extensively with young artists, volunteering at after-school art programs and providing both group and one-on-one lessons. In addition, Georgia serves as the curator and creative director for The Artistry Foundation Magazine, an international, student-led organization committed to advancing the arts.

While oil paint remains her favorite medium, she continues to explore varied mediums such as fiber art, carving, sculpture, and mixed media to bring depth and versatility to her practice.

Deeply influenced by the complexities of young adulthood, the bonds of family, and the vibrant energy of the New York atmosphere, Georgia’s work captures the intricate interplay of personal and environmental narratives, presenting a dynamic exploration of emotion and experience.
